Keypup reads your Codex usage with a workspace Admin key created in the OpenAI Admin Console, together with your workspace ID. This article explains how to get both.
The key needs two permissions. Select both Enterprise analytics API: Read and Codex analytics API: Read. A key with only one of them is rejected when connecting, and permissions cannot be added to a key after it is created.
Prerequisites
Your ChatGPT workspace is on a ChatGPT Enterprise or Edu plan, with Codex enabled. Other plans cannot create this key.
You are an owner or admin of the workspace.
Create the Admin key
Sign in to the OpenAI Admin Console at admin.openai.com and go to Credentials > Admin keys.
Click Create new admin key and name it, for example
Keypup.Select your ChatGPT workspace.
Restrict the key's permissions to Enterprise analytics API: Read and Codex analytics API: Read.
Create the key and copy it. It is only shown once.
Find your workspace ID
OpenAI's analytics API needs the workspace ID alongside the key, and offers no way for Keypup to look it up. Open your workspace settings at chatgpt.com/admin and copy the Workspace ID.
Connect Keypup
In Keypup, go to Settings > App management, click Connect on OpenAI Codex Enterprise, then paste the workspace ID and the Admin key.
Keypup only reads usage reports with this key. It never changes anything in your workspace.
For more details, see OpenAI's documentation on managing Admin keys in the Admin Console. To report Codex run with an API key, see OpenAI Platform Integration.
