Our OpenAI Codex Enterprise integration imports the Codex usage of your ChatGPT workspace: which members use Codex, on which client (web, command line, IDE), how much they use it, and the activity of Codex code review on your pull requests.
This usage is exposed on Keypup as the AI Usage dataset, and can be reported next to your pull request and issue metrics, or compared with GitHub Copilot, Claude and other AI tools.
Requires a ChatGPT Enterprise or Edu plan. OpenAI only offers Codex usage analytics to Enterprise and Edu workspaces with Codex enabled. It is not available on ChatGPT Business, Free, Go, Plus or Pro.
OpenAI Codex Enterprise or OpenAI Platform?
What decides where a Codex session is reported is how the developer signed in, not which tool they used.
Codex signed in with a ChatGPT Enterprise or Edu account - reported by OpenAI Codex Enterprise.
Codex run with an OpenAI API key - reported by OpenAI Platform, as API usage.
If your developers do both, connect both integrations. They report different activity, so nothing is counted twice.
How to connect OpenAI Codex Enterprise
Create a workspace Admin key with the two analytics permissions, and copy your workspace ID. See OpenAI Codex Enterprise - Create an Admin key to connect to Keypup.
In Keypup, go to Settings > App management, click Connect on OpenAI Codex Enterprise, then paste the workspace ID and the key.
Keypup creates one project per ChatGPT workspace. Enable it to start the import.
What data do we collect?
Codex usage, per member, per day and per Codex client (web, command line, IDE extension):
threads and turns;
credits used, and tokens where OpenAI reports them;
lines of code added and deleted.
Codex code review, per day for the whole workspace: pull requests reviewed and review comments posted.
Only Codex is imported. Ordinary ChatGPT conversations, which OpenAI reports in the same place, are left out. OpenAI does not report the model used by Codex, and attributes no usage to a repository, so the model, repository and language fields of the AI Usage dataset stay empty. For the full field coverage, see AI Usage provider coverage.
How often do we refresh data?
Keypup reads OpenAI's daily reports every 6 hours, as OpenAI does not support webhooks. A day's usage appears the following day, once OpenAI has published it.
The first import reads as much history as OpenAI keeps, up to one year: expect about the last 90 days. To pick up late corrections from OpenAI, the last 35 days are read again on every refresh.
Troubleshooting
The key or workspace ID is rejected when connecting. Check that the workspace ID is the one shown in your ChatGPT workspace settings, and that the key is a workspace Admin key with both the Enterprise analytics API: Read and Codex analytics API: Read permissions. An OpenAI Platform key does not work here.
The Admin Console does not offer the analytics permissions. Your workspace is not on a plan that includes them. Only ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu workspaces can create this key.
Some Codex usage is missing. Developers running Codex with an API key, or signed in with a personal ChatGPT account, are not reported in your workspace. Connect OpenAI Platform for API key usage.
