Keypup charts can be downloaded in Comma Separated Value (CSV) format and used with most spreadsheet tools (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets) and data import tools.

To download an insight you need to have Owner or Editor permissions on its parent dashboard.

From an existing dashboard, locate your insight then click the (...) button on the top right corner. Select Export data to download the insight in CSV format.

You can also download the drilldown table by clicking a datapoint on your insight and clicking the (...) button on the top right corner of the window. Select Export data to download the drilldown table in CSV format.

General considerations

When exporting data, be aware of the following:

  • Compatible insights: All insights and their drilldown can be exported except the following

    • Plain KPI

    • KPI with a trend

    • Cards feed

    • Boards

  • Data limitation: Exports are limited to 500 records. If this is not enough, consider refining your insights’ filters to select other subsets of data (e.g. filter on last year for the first export, then the year before for the second export).

File structure

The downloaded file is a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file where:

  • Each column represents a dimension or metric appearing in your chart, with the name set to the configured name on the dimension/metric

  • Each row is a data point - or cell in the case of heatmaps - appearing in your insight
