Description: The number of AI-created pull requests that were merged.

The <code>Pull requests merged</code> field is the strongest outcome signal available: AI work that a team accepted into the codebase.

Merge rate of AI work: <code>SUM(pull_requests_merged) / SUM(pull_requests_created)</code> shows what share of autonomous work survives review.

The measure to report upward: Merged pull requests are far harder to argue with than suggestion counts or lines of code.

Counts authorship, not review: Only pull requests the assistant wrote and that were then merged are counted. Pull requests it merely reviewed are not.

GitHub Copilot only: No other provider publishes a merge count today.
