Field ID: <code>credits_used</code>

Description: The number of metered AI credits consumed. This is a consumption unit, not a currency amount, and only providers that meter in credits report it.

The <code>Credits used</code> field is the metering unit for the providers that do not meter in tokens. For OpenAI Codex it is the only volume measure available at all.

Consumption against allowance: Credits are what a Copilot or Codex plan is actually consumed against, so this is the field to chart against an entitlement.

Heaviest consumers: Group by <code>actor_username</code> over <code>aggregation_level = USER</code> records to find who is consuming the allowance.

Not money: Credits are a consumption unit. No currency amount is carried in this dataset.

Credits will understate Copilot billing: Copilot web chat and GitHub Mobile consume credits but are excluded from usage metrics, so this figure is a floor rather than a total.

Never compare credits across providers: A Copilot credit and a Codex credit are unrelated units. Do not sum or compare them.
