Field ID: <code>client_plugin_version</code>

Description: The version of the AI plugin or extension installed in the client.

Note: This field is only populated on <code>CLIENT</code> records, which GitHub Copilot publishes for individual users only. There are no organization-level client records.

The <code>Client plugin version</code> field is the plugin counterpart to <code>client_version</code>, and carries the same diagnostic value.

Rollout and compliance: Find the users still running an outdated extension.

Explaining missing telemetry: Old plugin versions report fewer measures, and in some cases are excluded from provider metrics entirely.
