Reporting Use Cases

The ID (System) field is the unique identifier assigned by Keypup to every individual comment. While its primary role is to ensure accurate counting in high-level metrics, it is also the key that enables meaningful and precise drilldowns into the underlying comment data.

  • Providing Context in Detailed Views: In any drilldown report that lists individual comments, the ID (System) is used behind the scenes to fetch and display the correct set of data. This guarantees that when you investigate a metric - for example, the "50 comments made last week" - you can drill down to see a list of exactly those 50 unique comments, with no duplicates or omissions.
While you might not display the ID (System) itself in the final drilldown table, it's the engine that powers the report's accuracy, allowing you to confidently display other contextual fields like Body, Author, and Created At for each specific comment.
