If you pin a lot of dashboards, the sidebar can get long fast. Pin Groups let you organize your pinned dashboards into named, collapsible sections - so you can keep things tidy and find what you need without scrolling through a wall of links.
What is a Pin Group?
A Pin Group is a labeled section in the sidebar that holds a set of pinned dashboards.
You give it a name and an icon, and any dashboards you assign to it will appear nested under that section.
Groups can be collapsed or expanded independently, and dashboards that don't belong to any group are collected at the bottom under an Others section.
Adding a dashboard to a group
You can assign a pinned dashboard to a group directly from the sidebar.
Hover over any pinned dashboard in the sidebar - a ⋮ (more) icon will appear on the right.
Click it to open the dashboard menu.
Select Add to group.
You'll see a list of your existing groups. Click one to assign the dashboard to it immediately.
If the dashboard is already in a group, its current group will be highlighted. You can switch it to a different group by clicking another one, or click Remove from group to move it back to the ungrouped Others section.
Creating a new group
If you don't have a group yet (or want a new one), you can create one on the fly from the same menu.
Hover over a pinned dashboard and click the ⋮ icon.
Select Add to group, then click + New group at the bottom of the list.
A small form will appear. Pick an icon and color for the group, then type a name (up to 30 characters).
Press Enter or click Save. The group is created, and the dashboard is assigned to it automatically.
Reordering dashboards between groups with drag and drop
You can also move dashboards between groups (or back to ungrouped) by dragging them in the sidebar.
Click and hold a pinned dashboard item.
Drag it over the target group section - the section will highlight to indicate it's a valid drop target.
Release to drop. The dashboard moves to that group immediately, with the sidebar updating in real time.
To move a dashboard out of all groups, drag it onto the Others section at the bottom.
Collapsing and expanding groups
Click anywhere on a group's header row to collapse or expand it. The chevron on the right indicates the current state. Collapsing a group hides its dashboards from view without removing them - useful when you want to focus on a specific area without the clutter.
Renaming or changing a group's icon
Hover over the group header in the sidebar - a pen icon will appear.
Click it to open the group menu, then select Edit group.
Update the name or click the icon to change it.
Click Save (or press Enter) to apply the changes.
Deleting a group
Hover over the group header and click the pen icon.
Select Delete group.
The group is removed, but the dashboards that were in it are not unpinned - they move to the Others section and remain accessible in your sidebar.
Tips
Groups are sorted by the order they were created. Dashboards within each group are sorted alphabetically.
When the sidebar is collapsed to icon-only mode, group headers still show their icon so you can tell sections apart at a glance.
There's no limit on the number of groups or how many dashboards you can put in each one.
